I decided to create an icon. It’s not great… at all. I would say this is not my specialty, but here is what I attempted and how I got it done.
Step 1
Go to Pixlr.com. Login or signup for an account. Once you’re logged in, start a new project by clicking on the Pixlr X button, then select Create New. (I used the Art Grid option.) Finally, click Create.
Step 2
Now add an empty layer. I added shapes to make my face. I used a heart for the nose. Once I had it place, I used the rotate tool to turn it upside down. I used stars for the eyes and pupils and a straight line for the mouth.
Step 3
Because I used white fill on the shapes, I had to add another layer. I added another circle shape with black fill so that my face would show up on normal webpages with a white background.
Step 4
Finally, once you’re satisfied, click on Save in the lower right, which gives you several Save As options.
I think for creating itself digitally it came out looking pretty good. I know for a fact that I would not be able to make something look as clean as what you did.
